Heavy Gear MUX is an online game dedicated to providing roleplayers access to the world of Terra Nova and all the trials and triumphs of its people.

Heavy Gear is a game set in the futuristic world of Terra Nova, a colony world abandoned, then invaded by Earth. Political undercurrents flow through everyone's lives, making the future uncertain. There is a tenuous peace between the polar governments in light of a recent attack on Peace River, though even in times of peace, mistrust runs high between the polar governments.

HGmux mixes the best and the worst, both of people and setting. In the city of Khayr ad-din, surrounded by trash and organized crime, overwhelmed by the brightness of arena lights, and often suspicious of the polar armed forces, the citizens of Khayr ad-Din try to eke out their livings while doing their best to live to tomorrow.

The players of Heavy Gear MUX are invited to become people from all walks of life: reporters and duelists, criminals and lawgivers, bartenders and addicts, artists, trashers, military and ex-military, scientists, medical personel, and any other type of character that fits into the Heavy Gear universe.
